What data is collected
Only the data needed to run the site and answer enquiries is collected. That means the details you send through the contact form, such as your name, email address and the content of your message, plus technical data your browser passes on: IP address, device type and the pages you open.
We only review the slot and have no connection to it, so no payment details are collected here. Transactions happen at the operators and fall under their own policies.
Why the data is used
Your details are used to reply to enquiries, keep the site working and measure which pages are read. Technical data also helps spot faults, spam and attempts to misuse the forms.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest in running the site, and consent for any non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time. Nothing is sold on to third parties.
Sharing with third parties
Personal data is not passed on, except where the law requires it or where a service provider needs it to run part of the site, such as hosting or email delivery.
Those providers act as processors and are bound by the same requirements. Access inside the team is limited to the people who need the data for their work.
Security and storage
Data is stored on protected servers and transmitted over encrypted connections. It is kept only as long as the purpose requires or the law prescribes, after which it is deleted.
If an incident creates a risk to your rights, it is reported within the period the UK GDPR sets. The Information Commissioner’s Office is the supervisory authority in the UK.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you several rights over the data held about you:
- access the personal information kept about you
- have incorrect or outdated details corrected
- have data erased when it is no longer needed
- ask for processing to be restricted
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- withdraw consent you have given
- complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office
Cookies and measurement
Cookies and similar files keep your settings between visits and measure site traffic. Each category and the way to change your choice are set out on the cookies page.
Files already saved can be cleared in your browser settings. Switching off certain cookies changes how the site behaves, for example a saved preference will not be applied again.
Contact about privacy
For questions about this policy, to use one of your rights or to raise a complaint, write through the contact page. The same people who write and check the pages here handle these requests. A reply follows within the period UK data protection law sets.
